About Demolition Tasmania
Demolition Tasmania is a local, family owned business established in 2003 to provide a professional, efficient and cost effective option for building contractors seeking to subcontract demolition and asbestos works.
Since that time we have established ourselves as a preferred contractor by undertaking many and varied works for the principal building and civil contractors in Tasmania. We also provide subcontract services to the broader residential sector supporting smaller builders and undertaking private work.
We have clients across an array of industries including state government statutory authorities such as Tasports, Tasrail and the Education Department. We undertake work for local government agencies along with a variety of insurance related works.
Our overarching philosophy as a company is to deconstruct where it is both safe and economic to do so. That is we attempt to salvage as much material from the demolition of structures as possible with a view to both recycling waste and salvaging for reuse the likes of structural steel, timbers, doors, windows etc.
Where salvage of materials is not possible we separate and segregate to maximise the efficiencies from the transport of waste streams and ensure that we minimise the amount of materials going to land fill.
We place a particular emphasis on maintaining a clean and orderly worksite. we clean and clear the site during and at the end of each shift and ensure that any buildings and their associated components are retained in a structurally sound position with no free standing masonry walls, timber or loose unrestrained iron.
Demolition Tasmania’s vehicles and equipment are relatively modern and are well maintained at all times.
Staff are all licensed and competent in all facets of the demolition and asbestos removal process.
Demolition Tasmania is accredited under the Building Act Tasmania 2000 as a Builder Demolisher and holds all appropriate public liability and worker’s compensation insurances. Asbestos Removal License No 17520105.
